Madwomen in the Attic is excited to announce that we are teaming up with Green Buffalo Productions on The Big O (for Oppression) Project, and that we are extending our submission period until the end of May.
We’re looking for writers and creative collaborators in the western New York area and beyond to write and perform monologues, poems, and short dialogues for a 2020 production on the subject of oppression.
Please get the word out and submit your work! We’ll be accepting submissions between January and May – please send all submissions and inquiries to greenbuffaloproductions@gmail.com.
Additional Guidelines from Green Buffalo Productions:
We’re looking for pieces on these and any other forms of oppression. Intersectionality is REAL, so please feel free to write something that covers multiple issues you face from day-to-day.
GBP is accepting submissions for an upcoming production comprised of monologues, poems, and group performance pieces to discuss personal experiences with oppression. This production is a work in progress and follows in the footsteps of The Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler, but aims to be more inclusive than the 20+ year-old show.
Email us with the subject line “Social Justice Submission” to submit your work for consideration.
