On 8/10/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Restaurant Patron #1: “That I am Alive”.
Restaurant Patron #2: “Work”.
Restaurant Patron #3: “That I am Breathing”.
Restaurant Patron #4: “Health, Family, my Dog (not necessarily in that order)”.

On 8/13/20 I Ask “What Are You Thankful For?”
Restaurant Patron #1: “That I am alive”
Me: “Friendship”.
Restaurant Patron #2: “For being with my family”.
Restaurant Patron #3: “For waking up”.

On 8/14/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For Today?”
Restaurant Patron #1: “Life”.
Me: “Freedom, written word, peace, friendship, walking, nature, dollar stores, buildings, recycling, education, garbology”.
Restaurant Employee: “For waking up each day”

On 8/19/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Zoom Caller #1: “Having a job”.
Zoom Caller #2: “Being alive”.
Zoom Caller #3: “Breathing”.
Zoom Caller #4: “For having friends”.
Zoom Caller #5: “For the program -Listening and learning”.
Me: “Communication”.
Restaurant Patron: “Being alive”.

On 8/28/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful for Today?”
Person #1: “The good Lord”.
Me: “My Dad”
Person #2: “To be alive and well”.

On 8/30/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful for Today”
Person #1: “My Mom, God, my sister, you”.
Me: “Friendship, Parts of Speech”.

On 8/31/20 I Ask: “What Are You Most Thankful For?”
Dad: “Spending time with you.”
Me: “For my family”.

On 9/1/20, I Ask: “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “My job. My home. My family. The way I see it, even if you just have a small cozy place – you’ve got something. I don’t want a rich, fancy life – just what I have”.
Me: “Excellent! I agree! I am thankful for social people like us!”
Person #2: “Being alive!”

On 9/3/20 I Ask, “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “I am thankful just to be alive!”
Me: “Excellent! This is an excellent way to be thankful!”
Person #2: “Waking up!”
Me: “That’s great! I like that!”
Person #3: “Being alive!”
Me: “I like that!”
Person #4: (Points to her toddler daughter).
Me: “Your daughter?”
Person #4: “Yes!”
Me: “Gorgeous!”
Person #5: “Life!”
Me: “I like that!”
Person # 6: “Jesus Christ”.
Me: “Excellent belief!”
Person # 7: “Another day!”
Me: “Isn’t that right?”
Person #8: “Just for being alive”
Me: “Excellent!”

On 9/3/20, I Ask (Again), “What Are You Most Thankful For?”
Person #1: “For God having my back”
Me: “That’s a good answer! I like that!”
Person #2: “For just waking up every day!”
Me: “I like that too!”

On 9/4/20 I Ask, “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “Being alive! You?”
Me: “My health and stability.”
Person #2: “Being alive! And my Grandchildren!”
Me: “That’s nice!”
Person #3: “For waking up!”
Me: “This is a great reason to be thankful!”
Person #4: “Being healthy!
Me: “That’s nice! I like that!”
Person #5: “That I have a job!”
Me: “Nice!”
Person # 6: “That I am here!”
Me: “Yes!”
Person #7: “That I woke up this morning!”

On 9/5/20 I Ask, “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “That I woke up this morning!”
Person #2: “That my phone is getting fixed”.
Person #3: “That God is right where he is supposed to be”.
Person #4: (Points to his wife) “I am thankful for her.”

On 9/6/20, I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?
Person #1: “Church.”
Me: “This is excellent!”

On 9/7/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “For being here!”.
Me: “Sounds great!”
Person #2: “Family!”
Me: “Sounds excellent!”
Person #3: “That I am in a country like this. And that we are getting close to where the current President can no longer do this to us!”
Me: “I certainly feel the same!”
I ASK WHAT YOU ARE MOST THANKFUL FOR, THIS LABOR DAY!

On 9/8/20 I Ask: “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “To be alive! That God loves us!”
Person #2: “For my children!”
Person #3: “To be alive and well!”

On 9/9/20, I Ask, “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “For McDonald’s. You?”
Me: “Education”.
Person #2: “Your smile”.
Me: “Isn’t that sweet?!”
Person #3: “That I am alive and well!”
Me: “Excellent!”

On 9/10/20 I Ask, “What Are you Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “That in 3 (three) months I will be 78 (seventy-eight) years old!”
Me: “That is excellent!”
Persons #2 and #3: “Life! (At the same time)!”

On 9/12/20 I Ask, “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Mom: “That you are here today.”
Dad: “Spending the weekend with you.”
Me: “That I get to spend the weekend with you.”

On 9/15/20 I Ask: “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “Hasn’t happened yet. It’s when I clock out and go home!”
Person #2: “My health!”
Person #3: “My life.”
Person #4: “Life.”

On 9/18/20 I Ask “What Are You Most Thankful For, Today?”
Person #1: “That I am alive and well!”
Me: “For education, reading and writing. The environment. Environmental planning. Sociology. Good friends.”
